Corie Mitchell, CRNP
Corie Mitchell is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about providing compassionate, family-centered care to children and families. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner degrees from Arkansas State University and has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner for the past five years.
Corie’s passion for healthcare began early in life as she watched her mother serve others as a Registered Nurse. Inspired by her mother’s compassion and dedication, she knew she wanted to follow a similar path. After working as a Registered Nurse herself, she developed an even deeper desire to care for patients and families, leading her to pursue advanced training as a Nurse Practitioner so she could make an even greater impact in the lives of those she serves.
Originally from Arkansas, Corie and her family relocated to Alabama in 2021 to be closer to family and for her husband Kyle’s career opportunity. Together they have three children — Claire, Carlee, and Carson — as well as their dog, Nellie. They currently live in Cedar Bluff, where they are active in the local school community and attend Cedar Bluff First Baptist Church.
As both a healthcare provider and a mother, Corie understands the importance of compassionate, personalized care and strives to treat every patient the same way she would want her own family treated.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and boating on the lake. She also enjoys writing and is the author of the children’s book Peyton Finds His Color, inspired by her nephew Peyton, who has autism. She hopes to continue writing books that encourage and inspire children and families.
